Fix, clean, care

How to fix, clean and take care of holds and volumes

Our products are made to the highest possible standard and still need to be handled with care. To make sure they remain safe to use and last a long time read the recommendations below for fixing, cleaning and taking care of your products coming from 360 production.

FIX

  • Certified Route setters: Holds and volumes should only be affixed to a wall by certified route setters.
  • Flat Surface: Fix holds and volumes to a completely flat surface.
  • Screw-ons: use all available screw holes and use min. 4,5 mm screws.
  • Bolt-ons: use countersunk or cap head M10 bolts. If there is an additional screw hole or holes they must be used.
  • Tightening: Do not over-tighten when fixing holds and volumes; especially higher profile shapes or thinner pieces need to be fixed with care. Avoid using impact drivers when tightening. Recommended torque settings for holds e.g. XS holds=10Nm, M=20Nm, XL=30Nm.

CLEAN

  • High-Pressure washer: We recommend cleaning your holds and volumes with high-pressure washer. Industrial or professional jet washers can damage holds when used to close, therefore proceed with caution.
  • Max 30ºC: Water temperature should not be higher than 30°C.
  • NO Detergents: Holds and volumes should not be washed with detergents or other aggressive acid-based products. For effective cleaning, we advise you to use a high-pressure washer with water. Specifically designed washing products must be tested first.
  • Soft brush: Only use a soft brush when cleaning holds or volumes on the wall. Other brushes may damage the surface of holds and volumes.

CARE

  • Inspect delivery: All holds should be inspected upon delivery and any defects must be brought to our attention before the product is used or fixed to a wall. Failure to do so will void any warranty claim.
  • UV exposure: extended exposure to the sun can affect some colours drastically. Fluorescent colored holds or volumes are not UV resistant and should not be used outdoors. PU material in general is more susceptible to UV degradation and can also become significantly softer when exposed to direct sunlight.
  • Handle all products with care: Do NOT drop, throw, mistreat, or store holds inappropriately.
  • Storing holds: Store holds in a dry place. Holds that are stored together touching may result in visible scratches.
  • Damage during use: If sharp edges from cracks appear from mishandling or use, the product should be taken down and not be used. Any repairs made to our product are at the owner’s discretion and will void any warranty.

Thank you for reading our recommendations and for handling our holds and volumes with care.
